The long expected rain arrived
today. I had an appointment-free diary
and spent most of the day at home – reading and attending to the odd
chore. In the afternoon I worked on my
sermon for tomorrow and printed out the service sheet so that I would be ready
tomorrow morning without too much running around. It was pleasant to have a day without having
too much to do or places to go to. The
cats do not like the rain too much although Ginny enjoys finding a dry spot in the
garden or under a car and appreciates the coolness which the rain brings.
