Lady Godiva takes a tumble!

Bastille Day so the French flag fluttered over the garden.  More building works today as the plumber, electrician and heating engineer re-connected up the boiler in its new position in the utility room.  The electricity went off again this morning and so I went up to the Hilltop Grill for a breakfast of kippers and scrambled egg and to do some work using my BlackBerry.  Another very busy day today with the receipt of a very load of mail which required urgent reading and attention.  I also booked a ticket for the T20 match tomorrow night at the Rose Bowl against Middlesex.  Sara spent the morning up at Salisbury Racecourse attending another Calendar shoot - this time involving a thoroughbred race horse which managed to throw off its naked female rider and bolt off!  They do say that horses get easily spooked.  Fortunately the rider was not injured thanks to having the good sense to at least wear a riding hat - if nothing else! This evening we had a small contingent for House Group - just four of us - but that was rather enjoyable as I was feeling quite tired this evening and it was pleasant to sit with just a few friends, drinking coffee (later a nice liqueur from Nassau) and discussing the meaning of life as seen through the eyes of Malachi.  Another early start tomorrow with Ambassadors Breakfast Club.
