The Tim Vine Chat Show at Andover

This morning, Sara went off for her usual stint at Morning Star while I drove over to Whaddon to attend Mid-Week Eucharist at St. Mary's Hall which was taken by Nils with Andrew in attendance.  This also gave me an opportunity to see what resources exist at Whaddon for the service I shall take there on Sunday.  Following this, I drove into Salisbury for some banking and met some of the Morning Star group in Cafe Nero having a coffee.  I quipped that they seemed to be enjoying themselves whilst Sara was busy slaving away in their kitchen making sandwiches for the homeless banquet run!  Ironically we bumped into Sara in Castle Street as I was walking back towards my car.  I worked in the study this afternoon and this evening Sara and I went to The Lights Theatre in Andover to see the Tim Vine Chat Show where he chats to members of the audience.  An hilarious evening - brilliant comic an so clean.  A bit corny at times but that is his trademark and it works well.  His supporting act was a comic magician called John archer who was also excellent.  The evening was over all too quickly.  Tim Vine stayed behind in the auditorium afterwards and Sara managed to get his autograph and we chatted with him (see photograph).  A really lovely evening. Good news tonight was that West Ham couldn't take advantage of Saints' dropped two points last night and could only struggle to a draw themselves against Watford - so as things stand, Southampton are still top of the table - one point above west Ham, but West Ham now only have one game in hand.  If Saint's keep winning and/drawing they will continue to remain in the automatic promotion places.  It has turned very cold again tonight and we really must order some more oil.
