Great Disappointment for Saints' Commentators

Today ended in a great disappointment.  I didn't sleep too well last night because Ginny, our ginger cat, decided that she would take up half of our bed (sprawling out full length) and Sara had to come across to my side and I found it rather stifling.  The weather has been unseasonably warm (especially when compared to the last two winters we've had) and we haven't used anything like the amount of wood as previously.  I spent today sorting through papers and in the afternoon visited Amesbury and Andover to take some rubbish to the tip and bank another £300 for the Calendar.  It was nice to get out and get some fresh air.  This evening Tom and I went to Southampton to watch Saints take on Leicester City.  A terrible game for Southampton.  Poor defence, poor midfield and poor strikers.  We lost the match 0-2 which means we are now plainly in second spot in the Championship after having been in top position for three months.  Indeed, with the defeat against Bristol City at the end of last year, we have just suffered back to back home defeats for the first time since 2008.  It is going to be tough for us to get back to top position especially as we have to play some top teams over the next few weeks including West Ham away.  A massive game.  We are suffering from injuries and suspensions and need to get another good striker signed up.  Tom and I felt quite down this evening as we returned to Winterslow.  We have become so used to winning at home.  Seems strange not to see our name at the top of the league.
